Ateneo Tops 2012 Bar Exams

The Supreme Court released the result of the October 2012 bar exams which was held at UST (University of Santo Tomas). Dominating the list of the top 10 are:

ATENEO DE MANILA UNIVERSITY with 6 topnotchers

UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES with 4 topnotchers and

AQUINAS UNIVERSITY (Legazpi) with 1 topnotcher

Here is the complete list of the Top 10 Bar exam passers

1. Ignatius Michael Ingles, Ateneo - 85.64 
2. Catherine Beatrice King Kay, Ateneo -  84.72
3. April Carmela Lacson, UP - 84.48 

4. Xavier Jesus Romualdo, Ateneo (84.10 percent)

5= Maria Graciela Base, UP (83.99 percent)

5=Jose Maria Angel Machuca, Ateneo (83.99 percent)

6. Patrick Henry Salazar, UP (83.71 percent)

7. Ralph Karlo Barcelona, Aquinas (83.43 percent)

8. Marvyn Llamas, Ateneo (83.29 percent)

9. Carlo Martin Li, Ateneo (83.27 percent)

10. Francis Paolo Tiopanco, UP (83.25 percent)

Out of 5343 examinees, only 946 passed (17.76%). This is considered as the lowest passing rate within the decade.
